Create a healthy meal that’s balanced and delicious

  • Using the Food Pyramid below, create a meal (Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner) on a drawn plate using pictures and labels
  • Prepare the meal in the kitchen (with parental supervision)
  • Enjoy the meal together and talk about the balance of the meal referring to proteins, carbohydrates, fruits, vegetables and fats (good and bad)

Extension: discuss sugar and salt content and what substitutions you could make to reduce the sugar or salt content of the meal.
